First Annual
LAKE OF THE WOODS 3.2 miles
November 22, 2003
8:30 a.m.
Congratulations Culpeper runners! A great turnout for the First Annual Lake of the Woods event. Congratulations to Rachel Hyde for winning overall for the women!! She is Culpeper County High School's top seeded cross country runner. Congrats to Carlyle Dodson for winning the 18 & under age group. Carlyle is only 12 years old!! The top two in multiple age groups were awarded Turkeys (first) and Medals (second) Eleven Culpeper runners showed up on this beautiful morning to brave the hilly course, just a tad bit longer than the standard 5 k . Race coordinator, Jenn Sweigart was pleased with the 68 runners that turned up. Nice door prizes were awarded to just about everyone (hey, that's why we do this, right?) Proceeds were divided between the Lake of the Woods Association and Orange County Parks and Rec.
