YOUTH PREVAILS IN TOP TWO OVERALL

The second Club Run was held on Saturday April 29 in Clairmont Manor. A dense fog finally burned off just before the race started leaving a nice sticky mist for all runners who came out...Congratulations to rising Culpeper High School Sophomore, Patrick Walsh ,15, with a new course record time of 20:16. His seven second lead over Gavin Kirk,15, gave him the edge for first place. Patrick and his family just moved to Culpeper from Stafford. He should be an asset to the Varsity Cross Country squad. Gavin and Patrick ran head to head for most of the race. Gavin's nice performance , 20:23, was good enough for second overall. Gavin will be a sophomore at Woodberry School. The women's race was very close too. Raygan Ludwig, 17, was our new winner with a time of 21:46. Raygan will be a freshman at Lynchburg College and running for them as well. Christine Walsh trailing only by 12 seconds took second place with her time of 21:58 , Christine will be attending and running for Mary Washington College this fall.
